The Destination Iowa board also makes an outstanding gift for birthdays, housewarmings, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas or any occasion!
Destination Iowa measures 15-1/2" x 10-1/4" x 5/8".
Love the board, but wish one of Iowa's greatest tourist attractions is not represented; Lake Okoboji
And, yes... Amana Colonies is a historic German community.
It is comical how much room there is on this board in comparison to the other boards...but how much more characteristic of Iowa can you get? :)
Great gift for all my Iowa friends. I really like the carvings (etchings?) of various Iowa landmarks. My only complaint is that the Iowa Amana Colonies were founded by German settlers, not Dutch. The figures on the cutting board are clearly Dutch. Someone did not fully research this.
Very nicely done, almost too nice to use as an actual cutting board. My only complaint with the art work is that the characters portrayed with the Amanda Colonies are clearly Dutch. Any true Iowan knows that the Amanda Colonies were German is origin!
