At Totally Bamboo, we believe the small, everyday moments in the kitchen deserve products made with thoughtful materials and mindful design. From what goes into each product to how it lives in your kitchen, we care deeply about how it’s made and the impact it leaves behind.
That’s why we’re excited to share that select products are now ClimatePartner certified. This certification helps us better understand our environmental footprint and take clear, measurable steps toward reducing it— with transparency you can actually see.
About ClimatePartner
ClimatePartner is an independent organization that helps companies take meaningful climate action based on internationally recognized standards, including the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
This isn’t just about offsets or one-time gestures. ClimatePartner certification means measuring emissions across a product’s full life cycle, setting reduction goals, taking action to reduce emissions, and openly sharing that information through public climate-ID pages that are reviewed and updated annually.
What This Means for Totally Bamboo Products
Currently, ClimatePartner certification applies to select products, including our:
For each certified product, a Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) was calculated using a cradle-to-grave approach. That means emissions were measured from raw materials and manufacturing through delivery, everyday use, and end-of-life disposal. These calculations were completed in June 2025 and are available to view on each product’s public climate-ID page.
How We’re Taking Action
ClimatePartner certification gives us a clear framework for action and accountability. As part of this process:
-
We measure emissions across a product’s full life cycle
-
We define product-related reduction targets and review progress annually
-
Every certified product includes at least one implemented reduction measure
-
At the company level, 75% of our total electricity consumption is self-generated green electricity
Some emissions can’t yet be fully avoided. For those, ClimatePartner-certified products support a verified climate project to help balance what remains.
The Climate Project We Proudly Support
Through ClimatePartner, our certified products support the Improved Cookstoves Worldwide project.
This initiative helps distribute improved cookstoves in rural communities across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. These cookstoves use less firewood, which helps reduce emissions while also improving indoor air quality and everyday cooking conditions for families.
All supported projects meet internationally recognized standards and are regularly audited by third parties.
A Thoughtful Step Forward
ClimatePartner certification isn’t a finish line. It’s a tool that helps us keep learning, improving, and holding ourselves accountable.
We’re proud to take this step as part of our broader commitment to prioritizing the use of natural materials, creating long-lasting products, and making thoughtful choices for the everyday moments that happen around the kitchen.
