  • Do I have to oil my acacia wood cutting board?

    Boards coated with lacquer do not benefit from oil as much as uncoated boards. Our lacquer-coated acacia wood cutting boards include:

    Our lacquer coatings are tested to make sure there are no toxic materials including phenolas or heavy metals (cadmium, lead, etc,). The coating used is BPA free.

  • Why is there fuzz on the surface of my cutting board after washing for the first time?

    When a brand-new board is washed for the first few times, a slight raising of the grain may appear. This is normal and will dissipate after a few washings. 

    To expedite the removal, use a dishwashing scrubber pad while washing, scrub across the grain thoroughly and dry and re-oil.
